Amersham's Churches

A lot of the churches in Amersham on the Hill are fairly new as a result of the relatively recent development of this part of Amersham. As the various churches raised funds and gained planning permission, permanent buildings were erected. The 1960s saw the building of new churches including the new Amersham Free Church (replacing the original building in Sycamore Road), St. John's Methodist Church, St. Michael's and Our Lady's Roman Catholic Church.

There are older churches in Old Amersham and Chesham Bois.
