That's excellent news. Was any reason given?

They just had a full OFSTED inspection, and they reported it "is providing a suitable education for all pupils, as befits a mainstream primary school"

Brilliant news!

I am so pleased for you. It also shows the value of visiting a school and meeting the head rather than just taking what you hear as you had already done. Clearly the head is doing a good job.

I'm really pleased to read this.

I hope that this reflects a change in the inspection process that recognises the specialist work the school has done, rather than the school abandoning said work in order to get a good report.

So am I. Well done to everyone associated with the school.

Is this breaking news though? I can't see anything on the Ofsted site yet.

The inspection was only done this week. Letters went out to parents yesterday, and a special assembly this morning.

I was talking to a Bell Lane governor last night who's planning a version of the Amersham Martyrs Walk for Y5-Y6 children at the school and he was very cheerful about the school's progress, thanks to the teaching team that has emerged.

Insiders tend to be partisan but this individual has been a guv'nor in many schools, and has no particular axe to grind.
