The Misbourne Symphony Orchestra will end its 50th anniversary season with a night at the opera when the orchestra will be joined by award winning singers Susanna Hurrell (soprano) and Jaewoo Kim (tenor).
The first half of the concert features the preludes to acts 1 and 3 from Wagner’s opera Lohengrin. These will be followed by the Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss with Susanna Hurrell as the soloist.The second half of the concert features a selection of well-known opera arias, duets and orchestral pieces including Puccini’s ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ and ‘Nessun Dorma’ and Tchaikovsky’s march from Act 2 of Eugene Onegin.
The concert will take place at Amersham School, Stanley Hill at 7pm. Tickets can be obtained in advance from Perfect Pitch, Chesham, The Record Shop, Amersham or by calling 01494 784479.
