I am moving to Little Chalfont in November and have a 3 year old son, I was wondering if anyone knows of any play parks or recreation grounds in chalfont or Amersham. I know Lowndes Park in Chesham has some swings etc but is that the only one? Also are there any indoor play areas as back up with all this rain!
Many thanks for your help.

RebbeccaHi there,

As for local indoor soft play areas, I think the closest one to Amersham is Zoom in Beaconsfield, next to M&S.
Hope that helps

Westwood Park in Little Chalfont. I don't remember seeing any swings or roundabouts there but there's lots of space to run around or kick a ball.I am moving to Little Chalfont in November and have a 3 year old son, I was wondering if anyone knows of any play parks or recreation grounds in chalfont or Amersham.
There are also one or two places along the River Chess (Latimer, Chenies area) where kids can go paddling or fish for tiddlers.

I really don't like that place. Jungle Mania is much better.
But it's much further away, and parking can be a nightmare.
I agree it is pretty good, though. It was VERY hot last time we were there and I was just standing still. The little people were drenched (although it was the one hot day this summer!....and before you ask why we were there when it would have been better outside, we were there for a party!)

And tennis courts and football pitches and a cricket oval and (soon!) a new cricket pavillion and walking trails through the woods (Chiltern Forest). There is a childrens area in Westwood park with swings and slides.
Sorry, I love Westwood park, and get a bit enthusiastic! It really is an excellent facility for a small village like LC.

They have organised bug hunts, bat watching etc throughout the year. There is also a very large childrens play area, lots of woods to run around in, a lake which at the weekend often has model boat racing, a cafe and 2 separate toilet areas.
Plus they often have filming there. A few years ago when they were filming the first Harry Potter they filmed external shots for Hagrids House.
Near Black Park there are two other parks, one is Denham Park and the other Langley Country Park.
