Info does seem somewhat dated, how can I check their current status?

The Amersham and District Residents' Association has its AGM this week: Thursday 24th April at 7.30pm in Amersham Free Church on Woodside Road. I've never been before, but I imagine it will be like the one in spring 07 that is described in the newsletter link above.

The link in the post at the top of this thread goes to the latest newsletter (Autumn 07), i.e. the one they were giving out at the AGM tonight. I think they only produce one a year.

Anyway, the newsletter gives a good idea of what they do and had contact details for various committee members towards the back.

They do good things, but don't (currently) have a very high profile.

Is anyone on here a member of ADRA? The (very polite) letter delivered at HP6 Towers claims a membership of 800+ households.

Yes, we are. Actually, I think I forgot to act on a renewal notice I received a few weeks ago, so it's possible that we aren't any more.

Membership is for a few years (three, I think), so people pay once, typically when they want help with an issue, but remain on the roll for an other couple of years, even if they have no further dealings with ADRA.

I think they merged with another organization the other year which may have boosted their numbers. I must admit, although I provide them with some web space on my site, I have not actually joined. Perhaps I should, the more members they have, the more clout they should have in representing Amersham.

Did I (unknowingly) see any of you lot at the ADRA social on Wednesday night?
