Seen in the roof of my shed. Is it bees or wasps? Or anything worse?

it looks like either a wasp or hornet nest to me. Best to get rid of it early if it is...

Thanks Mel.
I've got some wasp spray, I sprayed the nest with that and shut the shed door. I'll go and remove the nest later.

Hmmm, don't know. Are you behind a work firewall that blocks photobucket?

Lucky you nipped it in the bud, my father popped his head into his loft a few years back and whilst standing on a ladder realised he had two large wasp nests not far from his head.Luckily he made a sharp exit and had them removed.

I found them again, this time last week in the handle pole of the awning on the back of the house. Pesky blighters.

Yesterday I was working at a house and had to go in and out the stables and barn to see to the horses, unfortunately there was a hornet nest in the barn so I had to move very very carefully! Thankfully I was unscathed but I left a note for the customers telling them they needed to sort it out before I worked for them again!
