Tried it for the first time on Wednesday, nice staff, super service and in my opinion superior to Hings in Chesham. The chips were fantastic and still crisp when we got home, nice flaky cod also, a little more expensive maybe but quality usually does cost a little bit more.

I was very impressed. They've made an excellent start.

I finally got to try this place on Saturday evening.

We chose a variety from the menu and it was all nice. The chicken was a little dry and stringy, but if I wanted good fast food chicken, I wouldn't go to a chippy. Marie had cod and said it was nice. I had a battered sausage which was nice too. The chips were excellent though, considerably better than Nautilus.

It is rather more expensive, but not so much that I wouldn't go back. Nice and easy to park too.

We shared a large cod and chips and my husband had a saveloy plus mushy peas (yuk) in the week, the portion was ample for us to share and we were very impressed. There were none of those horrible pale flaccid greasy chips that you get from other fish and chip shops and although it is a trifle more expensive it is worth the extra money.

I waited in the car and there was a very steady flow of customers in and out.

We have now become regulars, although do not use it every week.

Had only one disappointing week when I went after 8.30 on a Saturday night and got fish that had obviously been kept hot for a while as it was VERY dry. It did of course mean that I got served quickly as there were no other customers at time but I would rather wait and have it cooked fresh (particularly as they are pretty expensive). Chips never fail to delight, it is probably 20 years since we last had chips that good.

Had cod + chips from the fish bar the other day ...
Very good!

Chips noticeably crisper.
Fish nice and moist in crisp batter.

Worth the extra.

Dangerously addictive...

Had cod and chips from the Fish Bar a couple of days ago and the standards had dropped. Neither the fish nor the chips were as good as the first time we tried it (soggier, so I assume less fresh), this time it was not worth the extra.

Maybe it was a bit late in the evening and custom had slowed down, we'll try them again at peak time.

Went the other day, was very nice, while waiting the bloke serving kept saying "its fresh" over and over and over and over and over and over while we were waiting, food was nice though, only thing that spoiled it was some yob who happened to be in there aswell just staring at me,

I would def go again, much better than the other chippy.
