Would the trucks run at the weekend?Would it be a case of traffic backing up along the A413 if the trucks have to queue to get into the depot alongside other cars using the tip (esp at weekends)?

The UK has to find alternatives to landfill and councils that fail to meet new targets will face substantial financial penalties. To avoid penalties, Buckinghamshire County Council has decided to invest in alternatives to landfill in order to dispose of the area’s waste. Buried waste emits greenhouse gases such as methane, which are 23 times more damaging than carbon dioxide. The council, having assessed various waste treatment options, invited companies to tender for its Residual Waste Procurement Contract and specified that they should use thermal treatment technologies to avoid penalties.
