Had a lovely lunch there today.
The roast was generous, the Caesar salad lovely.
Nice bottle of house Sav Blanc.
Efficient, organised, very happy ladies behind the bar.

Sounds lovely. Was it expensive? Is it well set up for families?

Well, for the roast and the Caesar (with beautiful poached egg on top), with Sav Blanc, and a pint of cider to start, the bill was £34 - which sounds quite reasonable for the food we were served. Husband had two 'tranches' of beef, rather than the carvery standard and was more than 'stuffed'. There are different roasts: beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian.
Family friendly? I'd say so: they have a Children's Menu, and I saw children and families there. On previous visits, we sat in the garden (rain prevented that today)and there were all ages about.
Also dog friendly and the Real Ale people seem to like them.
Advise to book in advance on a Sunday.

Excellent. I'm fond of a pub roast but it's so hard to find a good one. Might try this on a Saturday.
