Tonight I noticed lots of pavement markings (lines, numbers, various colours) on the pavement between Cargo and the zebra crossing. Presumably changes are afoot, but does anyone know what?

Haven't seen these particular markings, but usually they are there to show the position of various services so that e.g. roadworks don't cut through a water main. I think it's to do with the gas works that are currently ongoing in the area.

Someone has obvsisusly been busy as the coloured markings are on lots of pavement both sides of Sycamore Road. Some fo the small inscpection covers have been coloured, but nto all of them!
