Apologies if this is not the right place to post this question, but as it's an extra-curricular club post, I thought I'd give it a try.
My son (reception) is really keen to try cricket, but I have no idea of where to take him. We are central Amersham - does anyone know where to suggest for a five year old?

Five is very young for cricket and there would not be any sessions for that age until after Easter at the local clubs, but there are many locally that have good youth sections. The weekly weekend sessions for juniors will run from April - August.

Amersham Cricket Club, based at Shardeloes in Old Amersham (the most beautiful ground in the area)
Ballinger Waggoners CC
Chesham Cricket Club
Chorleywood Cricket Club
The Lee Cricket Club.

They all have websites.

Good luck and hope he continues to love it. I have an avid 9 year old cricketer who trains year round (and an 11 year old who is not quite so avid but plays each week during the summer)

Thanks everyone - I agree five is a bit young but he keeps asking if he can play! Will try the Old Amersham one and see how he goes.
