If it's imposed, and if you know someone is breaching it, would you say something to them, report them (anonymously), or do nothing?

I didn't get a reply.

Which is why it is almost impossible to drive in London these days for roadworks. However as our water isn't supplied by Thames I think issues such as the level of abstraction from the aquifer by Veolia are rather more relevant.I went on the Thames Valley website a few years ago and reported Thames Water as a water waster.

It seems that we're about to have a ban, and looking at the dryness of what passes for grass in our garden, I'm not surprised.

Tricky. I think it would depend on what they were doing and how well I knew them. Someone using a hosepipe to give their compost bin a quick clean would get more tolerance than someone washing their patio or car. If I didn't know them I'd report them but friends would get certainly get grumbled at.
Mind you, any hint of a standpipe and I'd be on everyone's back with no exceptions!

Luckily I've three full water butts and a "lawn" that I don't care about as it needs returfing anyway, a job for next year!

However, Thames, Southern and Anglian are about to lift theirs.
