I drove to work along White Lion Road this morning to see that the police have cordoned the footpath and part of the field off on the Amersham side of Chiltern Heights/the business park.
Any idea what has happened?

Definitely looks like something that happened in the field between the road and the railway line as there were two sections of the thick hedge that had been removed to gain access.

Always curious to hear what these things are!

Thames Valley Police officers are currently investigating a report of a sexual assault in White Lions Road, Amersham last night (10/4).
A 14-year-old girl has reported to police she was sexually assaulted in the bushes in White Lion Road, near to the BP Garage, at 9pm.

The boy police are keen to trace is white, about 16 to 17 years old, of a chubby build and was wearing a grey top and dark jeans.
Det Insp Sharon Hill, leading the investigation, said: “This investigation is at a very early stage and a full account is still to be taken from the girl involved. Officers are currently making enquiries at the scene.
“Reports of this type of incident are rare in Amersham and I would like to reassure local residents that officers are working to establish the circumstances of this incident.”

Anyone who has any information which might help officers with their investigation, or who saw the girl or boy in the road last night, should contact Det Insp Hill via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
