I noticed yesterday that the new road surface on North Road, Chesham Bois which was only finished about a month ago already has a huge defect, in the middle of the road which is about 10 foot long and at its widest about 10 inches wide. What hope is there that this will be repaired as presumably it was shoddy workmanship? Especially as today the council had painted the white lines directly over it...

How did the council respond when you notified them?
I ask, because I phoned them today about a large and deep pothole in the old town which is being ignored. The "advisor" asked me to estimate it's dimensions. I attempted to illustrate by saying it would certainly big enough cause a cyclist to come to grief. To my complete amazement, he responded by telling me that that wasn't much help as there are no roads in Bucks that are considered safe for cyclists.

In fairness to BCC, the above-mentioned pothole was filled this morning.

I noticed this morning that the dodgy stretch on North Road has been resurfaced.
