Hello all,
Would anyone in the forum have a long memory back to the mid-1950's? While doing a major clean-out recently, I came across correspondence between my aunt and a solicitor in Chesham Bois dated 1953. The solicitor was a Mr. J.I. MacBean. I understand from a contact in Bucks. that Chesham Bois never had a firm of solicitors there but there was a family of MacBeans living on the North Road in the 1950's. I can only assume, then, that J.I. MacBean actually worked in Amersham or somewhere nearby. Does anyone remember the family or know of a retired solicitor who would have been active in practice 50 years ago? I'll keep my fingers crossed! Sincerely, Linda
