The Streets of Amersham

This part of the site is being rebuilt. Please come back at a later date

Over the years we have received many mails from former residents of Amersham and potential new residents of Amersham asking for details of various streets and roads in Amersham, together with requests for pictures. Although the "famous" pictures of Amersham, such as the Market Hall and Churches, are available, there are fewer pictures of the "everyday" streets that make up the majority of Amersham.

A long term project is to gather together as many pictures of the streets where people live as possible. The results are shown in a photo gallery here . When in the gallery, you can search for a street name.

At present, the following streets are included

Points of Interest

Many of the more established street of Amersham on the Hill have a large amount of trees and hedges which makes getting views of the houses difficult.

It is also interesting to note the number of new closes which have been created by demolishing older large houses and replacing them with smaller more tightly packed modern housing.
