Australia -
Gail Field now from Brisbane has found an Amersham Crescent and an Amersham Street in Brisbane (as well as Beaconsfield Terrace and Aylesbury Street.

Montserrat -
There is an area called Amersham, on Montserrat. It was affected by the volcanic eruption in 1997. Claire Howard writes "I have been working in Montserrat over the past 10 years. The above picture is of Amersham - or at least as near to Amersham as you can get nowadays. Amersham is the area immediately above the flowering bush - you will see that it has escaped the main ash and lava flows as it lies on higher ground. The area immediately below where the picture was taken used to be the centre of Plymouth, the capital, which is now totally destroyed. Amersham, which was in the suburbs, has survived, most of the houses are at least part buried in the ash. The volcano is immediately to the left (albeit about a mile away!), but you can see evidence of gas and steam escaping from the volcano, if you look at the sea."
New Zealand -
Amersham House a guest house in Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand run by some people who lived in Amersham for a short period - but it must have made an impression!
South Africa -
There is a pop group called Amersham - no idea what they are like - anyone heard them?
