Guido's

For many years, a favourite restaurant for may in Amersham was Guido's.  It was located at the junction of Chesham Road and South Road.

The restaurant opened circa 1980.  The building was probably originally a private dwellings and then I believe it was used as a bridge club.

Specialising in traditional Italian cuisine, with silver service, it was a restaurant enjoyed by couples, families and businesses.  Comprising a bar area, main restaurant, private dining room and garden.

A favourite of many was the traditional sweet trolley, seen here in 2016 shortly before Guido's closed.

At Christmas 2016, the family run restaurant closed.  The owners had tried to sell it as a restaurant, but had no takers.  It was thus sold to developers and was replaced by new houses.
